test back

today we got out test back and I did very good and so did the rest of the class. Soooooo many people got 100s and I don't think anyone in our class got anything less than an a. There was a lot of bell ringing and clapping for most of the class haha. I think I got a 95 if I remember correctly which I am really proud of and happy with. I don't really remember what we did for the rest of the class but it was probably fun like always. We had goldfish and they made my mouth dry and I didn't have any water which sucked.

Kiva facts

Kiva is a non-profit organization that allows people in need of a little extra money to get the help they need. People will go to Kiva to share their story to try and encourage people to donate money to them. They most likely need the money to kick start their business but they might need other things such as animals to help provide for their family. Also, schools and social businesses will go on to borrow money. However, the money is more of a loan. Kiva has a 97.1% loan repayment. This means that you will most likely get all of the money you donated back.   Kiva works in 89 countries and has had 1.7 million people donate. Kiva is done all over the internet by microfunds. They have collected over 1 billion donations. Along with Kiva.org, there is KivaZip.org, that shares personal stories of all the people or businesses on there. Kiva is supported by grants, loans, donations, corporations and national institutions. It is headquartered in San Francisco, California.

presenting our project

not gonna lie presenting our project was SUPER SCARY!!!!! I was nervous and also didnt feel well so I know I didn't do that well. Madde and valarie did really well I think except for saying like 38573290723 times. But otherwise I think we did a really good job. Mr. schick was kinda scaring me because he seemed to always find something wrong or more to say with whatever we said which was nerve racking. After we went maddy and kelsie went and I think they did pretty good also. Maddy was kinda like me and didn't talk very much but I still think they did a really good job. Also, the food was really good today. We had bagels an cookies and ellie brought cute little napkins! it was great!

presetations

today we still didn't get the chance to share our project but a few other people did. Owen and Frankie and a few other girls that shared too. Everyone thing was very interesting and I enjoyed getting to see what countries other people chose. Ghana was interesting to see because I wasn't expecting tit o look like that. I guess I never really thought about it but it still was surprise for some reason. Im scared to do it tomorrow because I'm not sure if ours will be as good as everyone else.

Retake and presentating

Today we got to retake our pop quizzes from the day before. The day before I got a 12/20 and this time Im pretty sure I got a 16/20 so I still didn't do very well. I have an f in this class so I really need to get my grade up before mid quarters so I can do indoor ad swimming. I really hope I can get this up because I love indoor soccer. After we retook the quiz people started to present their project we worked on the day before. nobody in the class did the b project,, everyone aimed for an a and did tat project. We didn't get to share ours but everyone else were very interesting to listen too. But class was pretty much terrible because ben decided not to bring in food. Not even like he forgot, he just didn't bring it. I guess for SOME CRAZY REASON he feels entitled to eat others food but not bring it for everyone so I was sad and very hungry because I hadn't eaten that morning.

Madison Remeto Valerie Friar Faith Hess Section 102 November 9th, 2017 Population/Demographic Project The countries that we will be comparing are Haiti and Qatar. Our four questions are the following, What is the difference in population between Qatar and Haiti? Qatar has 8,645,189 less people than Haiti.  This is due to the fact that Haiti is a developing country with a high birth rate. Which country has a higher percentage of 70-74 year old adults (both genders)? Haiti has a higher concentration of 70-74 year olds for both men women. Haiti is made up 0.6% 70-74 year old men and 0.6% 70-74 year old women. Qatar, on the other hand, is 0.2% men ranging in ages from 70-74 and women making up only 0.1% of the population in that age range. Which country is predominantly male? Qatar is a predominately male country. This is because Qatar is a country whose economy is  run off their oil production which is mainly a male profession. Therefore there needs to be enough men
