today while we spent our time in the classroom waiting for you to come to class we organized this kind of. it first started off as just a joke but as we went on I realized it could actually stand for something. We are sitting here silently to protest against what you taught us last class which was to question the things that people say and everything that you hear. Why should we sit and listen to a teach and take everything that they say if you taught us just to question it? Also, what if the point in even saying anything if you are just going to question what we say. Questioning is not having trust in what is said or done or the person so along with saying we should question the things that are said you basically said we shouldn't trust all the things that you say or someone says so what is the point of you getting up and teaching.
Today I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into class and I didn't immediately start sweating. Turns out we had got a new air conditioner over night or yesterday or this morning or something. Doesn't really matter to me when we got it but we did and I love it!! It was the first time in a while that I've been in that class without having to put my hair up or roll up my sleeves and it was great. Also, another thing that makes it even better is that were calling it faith! Its named after me! She's great, kinda loud, but she's super cool. Aside from all the excitement that splurged from the new air conditioner or faith I guess I should call her, he had kind of a fun class. We took a lit bit of notes and drew some maps. We drew maps of our drive to school in the morning and of the world. The notes we took were,, A mental map is a persons point-of-view perception of their area of interaction, most commonly called your activity space.
Today in class we learned about excellence. We started off by learning more about Edward Hubbard's essay, A Message to Garcia. This was written as an inspirational essay in March of 1899. It was such a popular piece of writing that it was turned into a pamphlet and sold in many places. About 40 million copies were sold, written in 37 languages. It was even made into two movies. it was made into a short film and a full length 90 minute movie. The reason we talked about this essay in our lesson about excellence is that's mostly what his essay is about. He talks about how he feels that is needed in society. The essays set in the Spanish-American war. Garcia was a revolutionary seeking Cuban independence from Spain. Rowan was a West Point army officer. Lastly, McKinley was the president at the time. That means that the message that Rowan was sent to deliver was probably the most official letter he could car...
