watched more of the video

today we watched more of the crash course video and mr. schick told a lot of stories. They were fun to listen to and its cool he has so many stories that aline to what he teaches in school. I like it when he tells stories. we also took some notes.

shooting/ notes on video

Today in class mr shock taught us about something new we ar going to be doing in the beginning of class instead of the prayer and instead of just reading the thing we normally do we are going to be praying for the victims and the family members of those in mass shootings that have occurred in our lifetime. Then we watched a crash course video and got really deep into discussion that we didn't finish it and we took some notes too.

notes/ go over the test

we had to wait for Anna and sydney took the test. then we got out tests back and I got an 85. I wish I would have gotten a better grade but its cool. I just need to get my grade up to an a and I have a 89.37  so hopefully I can

review for the test

Today we reviewed for the test that we are having tomorrow. We went over a lot of the notes that we already had but most of us copied them down anyways so we knew what would be on the test specifically. It allowed us to make a Really good study sheet for the test and hopefully someone will make a quizlet. I like to use quizlets to study because I think they are fun and effective and easy to use without getting as bored as you do just looking at notes. I wish mr. schick would make us cahoots to play in class as a review because those really help me remember and they are really fun too. hopefully he does this in the future.

2 hour and 20 minute video

Today in class we are watching a very long video however we are not going to watch the whole thing.  cleithenses had been brought up to be a ruler Athens was in a sense turned against itself aristocrats against common people the whole country was in the hands of a few people common had no part or share in anything aristocrats only interested in preserving their own power landscape riven by mountain ranges impossible for a single ruler to rule this fragmented world Argos had stood for over a thousand years corinthians dominated trade sparta had amazing military power spartans were brought up from birth to be soldiers, separated from families, raised on the field spartans lived a life stripped of comfort and had few possessions besides weapons  spartans wore red to symbolize enemy blood spartans ate terrible food to the rest of the greeks spartans were a threat The main thing that inspired greeks were their stories; ancient tales and myths these stories influenced cl

silent protest

today while we spent our time in the classroom waiting for you to come to class we organized this kind  of. it first started off as just a joke but as we went on I realized it could actually stand for something. We are sitting here silently to protest against what you taught us last class which was to question the things that people say and everything that you hear. Why should we sit and listen to a teach and take everything that they say if you taught us just to question it? Also, what if the point in even saying anything if you are just going to question what we say. Questioning is not having trust in what is said or done or the person so along with saying we should question the things that are said you basically said we shouldn't trust all the things that you say or someone says so what is the point of you getting up and teaching.

god and goddesses

today in class we got into a very heated argument. a lot of people shared their opinions on the belief of greek goddesses and gods. A lot of us got caught up on the fact that we knew that they weren't real and they believed that there and that is what got us into a big argument. We have faith and we know that god is real but apparently we need to question things? I found it disrespectful that we were told to go against our faith and what we learn even hear at school in bible class which is not to question god. Mr. schick said we shouldn't just believe everything someone stands up and tells us yeah but then whats the point of going to school or listening to anything anyone says when apparently you can't trust them and shouldn't believe what they said. Information gets passed throughout people and thats how we learn things. However apparently we shouldn't take everything someone says so basically nothing that we know is real or we can trust anything we were told. If w
